it's pesto time.

The end of summer has officially come, and with it came the frosty nights. We had no choice but to reap our basil crop, which was getting along quite nicely in the garden. We purchased garlic, sunflower seeds, and a few different hard cheeses, and made four beautiful logs of pesto to stow away in our freezer. There aren't too many smells that beat pesto, in my opinion. I'm already looking forward to pesto pizzas this winter when we're missing the fresh tastes of summer.
