Photo Field Trip - El Capitan Canyon
We signed up knowing this would be good. Good for us as a couple. Good for us as a business. Let's network, make friends, learn new things, surround ourselves with people that inspire us. We did, and it was better than we could have imagined. This was the sort of "conference" that can't really be called that. This was a get-together, or something that more resembled a (rainy) weekend at summer camp. Photo field trip. There were photo walks in the rain to see the ocean, introductions to new friends, late night conversations in our cozy cabin, wise words taken to heart and advice on things ranging from how to edit photos to how to work with the person you're married to. There was dancing, laughing, walking, talking, posing, and just a little bit of picture taking. We left feeling inspired. Thanks field trip team. We're so thankful for the new friends, and newfound inspiration we found during our stay at El Capitan Canyon. We can't wait until next year.I'll leave you with my favorite quote from the weekend, one quoted to us by the talented Dan O'Day-"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."- Elliot Erwit
