Our favorite part of summer has officially arrived. It’s the part where the temperature is rarely above 85, the sun is shining, the vegetables are all ripe, things are green again (didn’t know if that grass would come back after that nasty heat + drought), and we’re all around in high spirits compared to the crazy hot month we had. Night time temps have been falling low enough to warrant wearing jeans and even a sweatshirt. We’ve been grilling out, and eating as much corn and tomatoes as possible. We’ve been going on walks, exploring new parks, and leaving our windows in the house open even during the day. We added a blanket to our bed, instead of just the sheet. I actually turned the oven on and baked a cake. This is the summer we dream about all winter long, not that crazy hot part- I’d like to forget about most of that. More summer.
