Nearly every year my Dad goes down to Florida. He loves fishing, and vacations growing up always had fishing involved if Dad was along. Last October my parents rented a house on Pine Island for a few weeks, and invited us down to join them for their last week. The weather was nearly perfect, we had kayaks at our disposal, and there were two hammocks that were right next to the water. It was almost everything one hopes a Florida vacation would be. (the only thing missing- a beach)

“The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” Jacques Cousteau
