Frequently Asked Questions
What are your prices?
Do you both shoot all sessions?
Weddings and engagement sessions include both Eric and Sarah, lifestyle sessions are just Sarah.
What is included in your wedding coverage?
Each wedding varies, but our price includes Sarah & Eric for up to 8 hours. You get 500-700 full-res, edited photos along with the printing rights for them.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! When you book a wedding with us an engagement session is included in the price. We feel like this gives us a great chance to get to know you both before the wedding, and it gets you more comfortable with our cameras and us.
What if I don’t want an engagement session?
That’s fine! The price is the same, and we’d like to either meet up for coffee or tea sometime before the wedding, or get a couple of skype sessions in so we still can get to know each other.
What is a “first look” session, and why do you like them so much?
A first look session is when the bride & groom see each other on their wedding day before the ceremony. Here are some of the reasons why we love them
-You get to spend that much more time together on your wedding day.
-You get a little bit of time to yourselves on your wedding day. Believe it or not, you’re going to be surrounded by people for the majority of the day, which is great, but we’ve found most of our clients appreciate that little bit of time for just the two of them.
-It’s still special. The moment you see each other for the first time on your wedding day can be pretty emotional, and when you see each other when she starts walking down the aisle- that’ll be emotional too. Two separate moments.
-It can help with the timing of the day. If your ceremony doesn’t start until the evening, there won’t be much, or any time to get photos of you two together using natural light; which is what we love most.
-It gives you more time to relax and hang out with all of your friends and family after the ceremony. If you do a first look session, we can also knock out those family photos before the ceremony as well, which means once you two say “I do”, the rest of the night you can celebrate with your loved ones.
If you’re on the fence about it, hopefully those points convinced you. If you still don’t want to see each other before the ceremony, that is completely fine. This day is about the two of you- you get to make the decisions.
Will you help us set up a general timeline for our day?
Yes, we’d love to give you a bit of advice in the timing of things on your wedding day if you’re still trying to figure it out. People tend to forget about things like when the best lighting will be, or how long it will actually take to get everyone in one spot.
Are you available to travel?
YES! We would absolutely love to talk to you about it. We both love traveling, and jump at most opportunities to visit new places. Check out our destination page for more info.
How many photos will be included?
For weddings, we deliver 500-700 full-res, edited images. For lifestyle sessions you can typically expect at least 40 full-res, edited photos.
Lifestyle sessions take place in your home. We try to capture what your family is all about, and what better way than to be in your own house, the place where everyone is most comfortable and where everyone spends most of their time.
Why would I want a family lifestyle session and not a more typical portrait session?
You want it because you want to remember what your family was really like at this stage. The faces your children make at that age, the specific games and routines that were a must-do on a daily basis. You’re hoping for photos that help you remember all those moments that go by too quickly.
What should we wear?
Wear what you’re comfortable in. Make sure your children are wearing what they’re comfortable in. We love textures and layers, but the main thing to keep in mind is to wear what makes you feel good, and is something that feels like you.
What if I would like you to stay longer than 2-3 hours for our family session?
Let’s talk about it! 2-3 hours is the starting point for family sessions, but I’d love to hear what you had in mind.
Do you host our photos online?
Yes, we use an online gallery to host your photos. You can share the photos with family and friends from there, and anyone with the link can purchase prints through the gallery using a professional printer.
Do you ever work with non-profits?
Yes, when our time allows, we love working with non-profits that we admire. If you’re wondering if you can convince us to shoot an event for you, please don’t hesitate to email us!
